Indian Dancing
As part of our topic on Diwali, we used today’s PE session to try some Indian dancing. We began by learning some basic moves. We then tried a routine to music and finally used the moves we had learnt to begin creating our own routine.
Science fun …
This afternoon we have been investigating how to change materials by using different forces.
First we had to make some play dough which was fun but rather sticky …
After we had made it, we worked in groups and pushed, pulled, squashed, twisted and stretched it.
Rangoli Art
As part of our topic on festivals, we have been learning about Diwali. Yesterday, we tried creating some of our own Rangoli patterns. Here are some of our finished pieces.

Diving into the dictionary
Today in letters and sounds we practised our year 2 common exception words. We used a dictionary to help us spell beautiful and pretty. We talked about other words with the same meaning: elegant, handsome and glamorous to name a few. We discussed how a dictionary can help us to spell unknown words…
Congratulations!
Well done to Scarlett, Ben, Romain, Amelie, Lily-Rose, Isla, Corey, Willow, Alice, Sienna, Brody, Reuben, Amie, Lyla, Evie, Cameron, Ruby, Kacie, Alex, Megan, Max and Gabriel for achieving their bronze certificates. Well done everyone!

Each week we have a session where we read a text and answer questions about what we have read. Over the past few weeks we have been trying to find the answers with a friend, next week some of us are going to have a go on our own.
Remember:
the answers are in the text!

Children In Need
We had a great day celebrating Children In Need. The children looked brilliant in their pyjamas. They also made their own magazine all about Children In Need.
