The children had a great time at the Tag Rugby Festival yesterday. They were brilliant representatives of the school and it was a good chance to show off their tag rugby skills.

Wow, what a fantastic day we have had! First, we walked across some of the Humber Bridge, we were impressed with how tall it was! Then, we had some time to play in the park. After dinner, we went under the bridge and listened to the traffic, then we had a go at drawing the Bridge!

We have all had a lovely time in the sunshine today, walking over and under the Humber Bridge. The children were fantastic and should sleep really well tonight!

Today the class have been to the year 4 basketball festival at Clee Fields. The class joined in with three drills looking at techniques needed to play the game which included passing, defending and shooting. Over the the last few weeks our class have been working really hard to learn as much as they can about the Stone Age and the Bronze Age. This has included lots of research and working collaboratively in groups to compile facts and information.

This afternoon the class have had fun singing Mamma Mia as part of our music lesson. We started with a warm up beating out the rhythm and then practiced the song taking on different parts. If you would like to hear us pop in to class to watch our video.

In maths this week we have been learning to count in different steps.  We have been practising counting in 2’s, 5’s , 10’s and 3’s.

To help us with our 3’s, we played games with our friends. It was fun working together.

Lucy joins us every Friday to help us stay fit and healthy. She teaches us how to listen carefully to and follow instructions, to explore different ways of moving and travelling and how to use the space safely.
