Our Local Walk
To begin our topic about the local area and the fishing industry in Grimsby, we went for a walk around our local area. We made notes on the house, litter, noise, plants and shops and we are going to be collating our results through a presentation later in the week.
Improving Our Spellings

Walking fun in Scartho
On Monday morning all Year 3 and 4 enjoyed the sunshine as we walked round Scartho collecting information for our local area topic. Each group had a focus: litter, trees and green areas, traffic, houses and shops.
Parts of the body
This afternoon, we have been recapping our parts of the body, as well as learning some new parts such as our thigh and our shin!
The human body!
This week we have been learning about the human body. We started off by singing a very well known song to help us. We discussed the parts of our bodies and then went out into the sunshine and drew around each other. We did a fantastic job of labelling our body parts!

We had lots of fun working our way around a carousel of activities to count in 2’s up to 50!
Acts of Kindness
In RE, we’ve been discussing what random acts of kindness are. Following this, the children researched different individuals and organisations and their acts of kindness. They then presented their findings to the rest of the class.
