FS2 World Book Day 2020
Look at our fantastic costumes! We had a great day listening to lots of lovely stories. The year 3 & 4 children came to share their favourite stories with us too.
World Book Day Y5/6
On Friday, year 5 and 6 celebrated World Book Day by spending some time reading with year 1 and 2. Everyone loved their books and the KS1 loved to listen to the older children read! Great job everyone!
Observational drawing
We had a look at some beautiful Spring flowers. We had vases of red tulips and golden yellow daffodils, through looking carefully at their colours and shapes we had to represent what we could see using chalk pastels.
World Book Day in Y3LH
Class 3LH had a great time celebrating World Book Day today, starting with reading to the Nursery children this morning, followed by some exciting book mark making and book bingo this afternoon! All children looked fantastic, and worked lovely together throughout the day!
World Book Day
All dressed up for World Book Day, in 5SG we’ve got spy’s, minions, plenty of Hogwart’s former pupils and even Lady Macbeth. They’ve even had a go at creating comic book pages for their favourite books.
World Book Day
As usual, we dressed up as our favourite characters to celebrate World Book Day. All the children in the school partnered up with different classes to share a favourite book or two. Year 6 read with Year 2 and Year 5 read with Year 1.
Here are a few images of us enjoying books.

Pretty flowers!
On Monday we identified the structure of a plant and learnt about what the different parts do. We then took time looking at some very pretty tulips and did some observational drawing with chalk pastels.
We can’t wait to show you our art work!
Pancakes in nursery, yummy!
The children enjoyed making pancakes in the water and with play dough... but they enjoyed eating the real thing even more!
Artists in Year 3
As part of the new topic ‘Vista’ this half term, Year 3 have made a start on becoming landscape artists. They took their own images on an iPad and created thumbnail drawings from them. Some excellent work was created - a great start for what’s to come over the next few…
Telling The Time
This week we have been exploring the analogue clocks and talking about the events in an average school day. We enjoyed watching and singing the Mr Wolf song and playing What’s the time Mr Wolf outside in the playground. We have learnt that a clock has a face and hands and we can now tell the…
