Well done to all the children who achieved an award this week. We are very proud of you and enjoyed listening to what you did.

What a fantastic three days! We have had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the year 5 children. They embraced every challenge and were excellent ambassadors for our school.

We loved being outside today. We practised our throwing and catching, balancing skills, target throwing skills and dodging and weaving through the cones and ladder.
 

We have been taking part in lots of games with the Parachute, it was so much fun! We listened to instructions to changes places with a friend and even pretended it was a spaceship and hid underneath it!    We also enjoyed singing whilst playing some ring games and had to take turns to go in the…

This week we have enjoyed practising drawing our own polar bear. We spent time looking at different images and recreating our own. We carefully used a range of straight and curved lines. They then created their own chalk polar bear. 

This week we have been looking at patterns in our environment, in nature and repeating patterns. We have made patterns using natural materials, objects around the classroom and even ourselves! We have made colour patterns, size patterns, shape patterns and patterns with actions. 

We’ve had such a busy few days in reception. We had lots of fun in our phonics lessons; improving our letter formation in different media, working on hearing initial sounds and reading words to find matching pairs. In maths, we have been comparing objects, quantities, heights and lengths. We have…
