Year 5 took part in a drama workshop which focused on Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) as part of the Not in Our Community project, which aims to protect children from grooming and exploitation. They talked about what grooming is and how it can happen in real life and online and done by anyone both children and adults. They then workshopped these ideas by creating a character, hot seating as their character and working in groups to create a scenario as a group of friends at the park, where one of the group is trying to encourage them to try vaping. The children were enthusiastic and had lots of fun learning about a serious subject in a really engaging way.
