We have had a very busy week in nursery.

We have had a really lovely first week in Nursery.  We met our new teachers and had lots of fun with our new friends. 

Mr Plater visited us from Dinostar in Hull. He bought all kinds of amazing dinosaur fossils. He showed us a triceratops leg bone, an allosaurus skull, a tyrannosaurus tooth, a brachiosaurus claw and an allosaurus footprint. We made our own fossils and made fossil rubbings of plant and animal…

We had a lovely time on World Book Day and enjoyed sharing stories with some of the Year 3 children.  Everyone looked fantastic.  A big thank you for supporting us.

Look at our fantastic costumes! We had a great day listening to lots of lovely stories. The year 3 & 4 children came to share their favourite stories with us too. 

The children had fun in P.E. this week practising their throwing and catching skills.  First they chose a partner and practised rolling the ball to each other.  They then had a go at throwing and catching the ball.  We were very impressed with how well they worked with their partners.  Well done…

We all enjoyed our walk to the shop to buy fruit to make our fruit kebabs.  Everyone walked so nicely and we were very proud of them.

The children chose the fruits they wanted on their kebab and threaded them onto a wooden skewer.  They were yummy and they all enjoyed tasting the different…

This week we have been reading the story Oliver’s Vegetables. We thought about how Vegetables grow and we tried some fruits and vegetables just like Oliver does in the story. We tried rainbow carrots, different coloured peppers and some tomatoes. We used our senses to describe them and talked…

Everyone has settled nicely into nursery and the new children are making lots of new friends.

We enjoyed exploring at Forest School; observing seasonal change and searching for signs of Autumn. 

We had lots of fun in nursery on Room on the Broom Day and we all looked fantastic in our costumes.

We enjoyed reading the story Room on the Broom and doing lots of spooky activities throughout the day.
