We have been learning the composition of teen numbers. We have enjoyed playing lots of different games. 

It was lovely to share some more celebrations and achievements from out of school. We had some medals and trophy’s from local football tournaments and training sessions. Lots of certificates and badges achieved at swimming lessons and some more dancers. We enjoyed hearing about dog training,…

We have been learning about different kinds of puppets and looked at some from a long time ago. We then had to design our own finger puppet. We could choose any character either from the traditional stories we have been reading or any other characters we know. We had to think carefully about what…

We have been very busy in maths. We have enjoyed playing naughty kangaroo and looking at different combinations of 10. We can now work collaboratively in pairs and small groups. We are getting better at concentrating for longer periods of time.

We loved being outside today. We practised our throwing and catching, balancing skills, target throwing skills and dodging and weaving through the cones and ladder.
 

We have enjoyed learning about Traditional Tales. This week we have been reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children have enjoyed acting out the story, making bears out of play dough, trying porridge and writing an apology letter to the bears from Goldilocks.

This week we have enjoyed practising drawing our own polar bear. We spent time looking at different images and recreating our own. We carefully used a range of straight and curved lines. They then created their own chalk polar bear. 

We have enjoyed learning our sounds using the stories. We listened to ‘Pirate Pete’ on our pirate ship and had fun popping the bubbles outside. 

We spent time discussing Remembrance Day. We held a minute silence and took part in our own poppy factory. 

We are enjoying our phonic lessons. This week we have learnt the sounds p, I, n and m. We have learnt to recognise and write the sounds through lots of different games.
