Tea Party with Paddington
What a fantastic end to our first half term in Key Stage 1. We spent the afternoon watching the film Paddington and enjoying a tea party with our special guest Paddington the Bear.

We have had a fantastic time making our junk models of London Landmarks. We worked in groups and made models of the Millennium Dome, Big Ben, The Shard and a Red bus using all the cardboard we brought in from home. We had a brilliant time working together!

This week in Year 1 and 2, we have been thinking about Remembrance Day and why we wear a poppy. This morning, Year 2 have written a super acrostic poem all about Remembrance.

Number lines!
For the last 2 days in Year 1, we have been learning to use a number line. We needed to count how many 'jumps' it would take to get from one number to another. It was important that we counted accurately so that we didn't count too many!
P.E in Year 1!
This half term we are looking at 'Locomotion' in P.E. We have been finding different ways of moving and Miss James has been impressed with how creative we have been!
Friday in Year 1!
Today in Year 1, we have been writing sentences about 'My Friend Harry'. We tried hard to remember our capital letters, full stops and finger spaces, as well as challenging ourselves to use adjectives!
