Foundation Stage

We have had another busy week in nursery. We have been practising writing our names, exploring numbers and lots of other activities.

We are enjoying our phonic lessons. This week we have learnt the sounds p, I, n and m. We have learnt to recognise and write the sounds through lots of different games.

We have had a really lovely first week in Nursery.  We met our new teachers and had lots of fun with our new friends. 

Mr Plater visited us from Dinostar in Hull. He bought all kinds of amazing dinosaur fossils. He showed us a triceratops leg bone, an allosaurus skull, a tyrannosaurus tooth, a brachiosaurus claw and an allosaurus footprint. We made our own fossils and made fossil rubbings of plant and animal…

We had a lovely time on World Book Day and enjoyed sharing stories with some of the Year 3 children.  Everyone looked fantastic.  A big thank you for supporting us.

The children had fun in P.E. this week practising their throwing and catching skills.  First they chose a partner and practised rolling the ball to each other.  They then had a go at throwing and catching the ball.  We were very impressed with how well they worked with their partners.  Well done…
