Finger puppets
This week we have been designing and making finger puppets. We are all very proud of our puppets.
Raincoat for Dogger
We were testing materials to see which would be the best material for a raincoat for Dogger. We thought about what we had already learnt about the properties of materials and predicted which material would be best. We then tested them to see if our predictions were correct.
Number lines!
For the last 2 days in Year 1, we have been learning to use a number line. We needed to count how many 'jumps' it would take to get from one number to another. It was important that we counted accurately so that we didn't count too many!

This week we have read the story ‘Dogger’ by Shirley Hughes.
We really enjoyed listening to the story and answering questions about it.
Today we ordered pictures from the story and retold it with our partner orally. We even thought of actions to help us!

Our English this week!
We have enjoyed lots of English activities so far this week. Our comprehension this week was to complete a story board and tell the story orally to a partner. Mrs Robinson was so impressed with how we used our imaginations and thought our stories were fantastic!
