In nursery we have been learning about melting and Freezing.
The children held ice cubes in their hands to make the ice melt, they said it felt very cold and it soon melted. We talked about how we could make the water back into ice and the children suggested putting it in the freezer again.
We also melted chocolate in the microwave and the children watched the changes as the chocolate melted. They enjoyed using the melted chocolate to make yummy crispy cakes and observed that as the chocolate cooled, it went hard again. The crispy cakes tasted yummy!
