Yesterday the government announced that children of key workers and vulnerable children will be able to attend school on Monday. For all other children, school will be closed.
We are expecting clarification from the Department for Education about who qualifies as a key worker and a vulnerable child. Certainly key workers will include all NHS staff and members of the police service.
Until we know further information, the Trust has decided that children whose parents are both in the key worker category may come to school on Monday. If there is only one key worker in the family, then alternative arrangements must be made and your child must not come to school. If you are a single parent, and in the key worker category, then your child may attend school.
If you have already contacted school about being a key worker, we will be in touch with you in the morning.
