Another week of fantastic science learning has come to an end.
On Monday, the children investigated how materials dissolve in water. Some children focused on whether the number of stirs affected the time it took to dissolve, some children observed whether the temperature of water affected the time the material took to dissolve, and others focused on the mass of the material.
On Wednesday the children learnt about separating mixtures. Here they are separating two solids using a magnet.
Yesterday, the children investigated irreversible changes and observed what happens when white vinegar is mixed with milk. They found out that a new plastic, called casein plastic, is formed. They found that it was a very smelly experiment.
