For our final morning we visited the York Chocolate Story where we learnt about where chocolate comes from and how it is made. The children tried a bitter/spicy chocolate drink that Aztecs drank thousands of years ago. They also tasted pure cocoa and chocolate nibs, although some of the children weren’t impressed with these. Then they got to make their own chocolate lolly and watch passionate fruit chocolate ganache being made. It was a super end to a wonderful trip.
