This week in nursery we have been learning about what happens to animals during the cold winter months.
We talked about birds that migrate to warmer countries during winter and animals that hibernate.
The children made cheerio bird feeders and had fun at forest school hanging them on the trees. We feel sure the birds will enjoy eating them.
We read a story called ‘Don’t Hog the Hedge’ about Hattie the hedgehog, who was very kind and welcomed her friends to share her winter den. The children enjoyed acting out the story using puppets.
