As part of our topic work, the children have been exploring OS maps of North East Lincolnshire. After studying the maps and learning about the symbols, the children have begun to create art using a viewfinder. A viewfinder is a small rectangular window which allows the children to focus and hone in on a small section of the map. They then began to sketch their section of the map. Althoguh they have not finished yet, here is a preview of their work so far.
